About Forever Main
Forever Main is an independently operated, unofficial fan website. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Blizzard Entertainment. World of Warcraft, Warcraft, and related names and marks are trademarks of Blizzard Entertainment, Inc. Game names and artwork identify the world that inspired this project; they do not indicate an official partnership.
Your character result
The quiz is for entertainment and personal reflection. It is not a validated psychological assessment, diagnosis, or prediction of your ability or enjoyment in a game. Our original questionnaire and interpretations may change as we improve the site. You can take the quiz and see your result without an account or marketing subscription.
Accounts and responsible use
Accounts are available to players aged 13 and older. Use your own email address, provide accurate information, and keep your password and private email links secure. Registration requires an email address, password, confirmation that you are at least 13, and acceptance of these terms and the Privacy Policy. Your name, age range, and other profile details are optional and can be added later. An account lets you save completed characters online and request an email copy.
Do not access another person’s account, submit spam or unlawful material, evade security controls, or interfere with the service. We may restrict or suspend accounts for misuse and may remove harmful feedback. A suspension blocks that account; it is not a device-wide ban. Contact us if you think an account action was mistaken.
Email choices
Creating an account or requesting an email authorizes the service messages needed for that request, such as verification, your requested result, password recovery, password-change notifications, and a feedback receipt when your account email is verified. Promotional messages are separate: the optional checkbox is off by default, and a subscription requires confirmation through your email. Marketing is unavailable to accounts under 18. Unsubscribing from promotions does not prevent essential account messages or results you request.
Feedback, availability, and changes
You keep ownership of your feedback and allow us to review it and use the ideas to improve Forever Main. We do not promise a reply or that an idea will be implemented. Please do not include passwords, private information about other people, or sensitive information.
The site is provided as available. We cannot guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free interpretations, or permanent availability of every feature. Previously saved character results keep their scoring version. These terms do not exclude rights or responsibilities that cannot lawfully be excluded. We will date revised terms and request acceptance when required for continued account features.
Privacy Policy
This notice explains what Forever Main collects, why we use it, and the choices you have. The project operator can be contacted at contact@myforevermain.com.
Quiz progress on your device
Your browser saves quiz answers, progress, character results, scoring versions, and preferences so you can return later. Answers are also saved progressively to the service, including unfinished attempts. Clearing local quiz progress removes that browser’s saved answers, not an online account or results already submitted.
Accounts and saved results
We store your name, email, age range, password hash, account creation and sign-in times, recent authenticated access, accepted policy version, and account status. We do not store readable passwords or the confirmation-password field. Current main race and class, game version, broad region, and preferred activity are optional. Saved account results include the answers you submitted, character result, scoring version, and completion time.
The site owner can review this information in the protected administration area to operate the service, answer support requests, prevent abuse, and understand quiz results. When an account is created, we also email its name, email address, and creation time to the operator’s administration addresses for service oversight. Account-linked answers remain personal information while that connection exists. A coded identifier alone does not make a record anonymous.
Research and improving the quiz
We study patterns in submitted results and optional player preferences to improve the questionnaire and understand how players relate to Warcraft characters. This is exploratory product and player-preference research, not a clinical assessment. We may publish or license aggregate research reports designed so people cannot reasonably be identified. Those reports exclude names, email addresses, account identifiers, and individual response records; small groups that could reveal a person should not be reported separately. We do not publish a raw dataset of individual quiz submissions.
Quiz responses and service statistics
When you open the quiz, we automatically create a random attempt identifier and progressively save your answers, question pages reached, available answer timestamps, start and completion times, completion duration, and quiz, question, and scoring versions. Completed records include class, race, and faction scores, your recommended character, and alternative results. An unfinished attempt is marked likely abandoned after 30 minutes without activity; returning can resume it.
This response recording supports your result and the platform’s aggregate quiz statistics. It applies to guests and accounts and is separate from optional visit analytics and promotional email consent. A guest attempt contains no name, email, IP address, or fingerprint. If you sign in and save that attempt to your account, it can be linked to your user ID. A random identifier is pseudonymous, not a guarantee of anonymity.
Only the site owner can inspect individual responses. Public reports contain aggregates only, with small groups suppressed, and exclude names, emails, IP addresses, account and attempt IDs, and individual records. Requests blocked by a network or browser can leave gaps. Older recovered records may lack answers or timing; we do not invent missing information.
Optional Google Analytics
When enabled for this website, Google Analytics loads only after you enable Website analytics in Analytics preferences. It measures visits to public pages and quiz starts and completions to help us understand and improve the site. Google receives page information, a random browser identifier, basic device information and the network information needed to receive those requests. We do not send quiz answers, character results, names, email addresses, account IDs, attempt IDs, private account pages or administration pages to Google Analytics. URL query strings and fragments are removed from the page information we send.
Advertising features and Google Signals are disabled. Analytics cookies last up to 90 days. Your analytics choice is saved on this device until you change it or clear browser storage. Use Analytics preferences on public pages to change your choice; declining stops future collection and removes this site’s Google Analytics cookies. Global Privacy Control disables this tracking. Signed-in accounts with visit measurement turned off are also excluded. Quiz recording and optional emails work independently of this choice. Analytics reports can be incomplete when collection is declined or blocked.
Affiliate links and optional measurement
Forever Main is an independent fan project. Some recommendations use RestedXP affiliate links. Purchases through these paid affiliate links support Forever Main. This commercial relationship does not mean RestedXP or Blizzard endorses the quiz or its results. RestedXP’s paid Forever guides are in development and updated alongside the game’s release; check the shop for current availability and product details.
Affiliate measurement is a separate, optional choice in Analytics preferences, off until you enable it. An earlier website-analytics choice does not enable this new purpose. When permitted, we count promotion impressions and outbound link activations by homepage, quiz-results, or My Profile placement, campaign, creative, and estimated device category. Short-lived random event and page-view identifiers prevent duplicates. We do not include account or attempt identifiers, names, emails, answers, results, raw IP addresses, raw browser descriptions, referring pages, or full page URLs in these records. These counts are not unique people or proof of a purchase.
Deduplication records are kept for up to seven days and non-identifying daily totals for 13 months, cleaned up during normal activity and report requests. Short-lived hashed network keys limit abusive requests and are not used in affiliate reports. When both affiliate measurement and website analytics are enabled, accepted public-page affiliate events are also sent to Google using only the campaign, placement, creative, and coarse device category. My Profile affiliate events stay in Forever Main’s first-party reporting and are never forwarded to Google. Global Privacy Control and account visit-measurement opt-outs disable this tracking.
Turning off affiliate measurement stops future collection and discards queued unsent events. Previously aggregated totals cannot be linked back to your account. The affiliate preference is saved on this device, including a purpose/version cookie lasting up to one year. The guides and links remain available regardless of this choice. Following a link opens RestedXP, which handles its own cookies, checkout, and privacy choices. We do not load RestedXP tracking scripts on Forever Main. RestedXP’s reporting is the source for attributed purchases and payouts; we do not infer sales from outbound clicks.
Optional account visit measurement
If you allow visit measurement in your account, we record visits to the home, quiz, and account pages, with approximate time while the page is visible and focused. We do not record keystrokes, passwords, exact location, or screen recordings. Turning this off deletes recorded detailed visits. Basic sign-in and recent authenticated access times remain for account operation. Counts and times may be incomplete when tabs close or requests are blocked.
Quiz sharing
Share quiz creates a short random referral link and records a successful device share handoff or link copy, its source location, and time. Link requests are counted by day, with recognized previews counted separately. Requests do not prove a person opened the link. Links do not contain your answers or email. A quiz attempt may record the referral code used to reach it.
With optional visit analytics enabled, a referral session can record the landing page, referring website domain where available, quiz start and completion, and a subsequent signup. The owner can see a linked account only when permitted by that account’s analytics choice. These sessions expire after 24 hours and detailed referral records are removed after 90 days. Turning off optional analytics removes the associated detailed referral records. We cannot see private message recipients, which messaging app someone picked, or what they said.
Emails and security
Result email requests store the address, submitted answers, character profile, request status, and a record of the consent text, version, and time. We record marketing confirmation and unsubscribe actions. Resend receives the recipient address and email content to deliver requested messages and may process delivery, bounce, and abuse information. We use Google Workspace for messages sent to our contact address. Replies and support correspondence are used to handle your request.
Private account-verification links expire after 24 hours, password-reset links after one hour, and optional subscription-confirmation links after seven days. Verification and reset tokens are stored as hashes and used once. A completed password reset ends existing sessions; changing a password while signed in ends other sessions. The application hashes available network addresses for request limits rather than retaining raw addresses in its quiz records. Hosting and network providers may separately process IP addresses and request information for delivery and security. We do not use an IP address as proof of account ownership.
Suggestions
We keep the topic, experience rating, message, source page, submission time, and the owner’s review notes. Signed-in feedback is linked to the account; guests can submit without identifying themselves. A signed-in player with a verified email may receive a receipt containing the topic and a reference number, not the full feedback text. Feedback is used to improve the site, not to subscribe you to promotions.
Marketing, advertising, and future changes
We do not currently sell personal information, share it for targeted advertising, or load third-party advertising scripts. Marketing consent is optional, separate from accepting the terms, and confirmed by email. You can unsubscribe using the private links in your emails. We retain the consent and unsubscribe records needed to respect your choices. Necessary account messages are not marketing subscriptions.
Licensing an aggregate research report is different from selling identifiable or linkable records. Accepting this notice does not authorize an unspecified future sale of personal information. Before materially changing our use or sharing practices, we will explain the proposed information, recipients, and purpose, provide the required choices, and obtain any legally required permission before the new use begins. We will not treat an earlier signup or marketing opt-in as that permission. A “Do not sell or share” preference is enabled by default, and removing it is not consent to a future sale. Global Privacy Control is respected for applicable optional tracking and sharing choices.
Service providers and access
We use Sites hosting and Cloudflare infrastructure to serve the website and its database, Resend for email delivery when connected, and Google Workspace for support email. Google sign-in protects the owner’s administration account; it is separate from player email/password accounts. Providers process information needed to perform their services and may process it in countries other than yours. We do not make account records available to the public or give outside researchers access to individual submissions.
Retention
Local quiz progress and preference settings remain until you clear them or your browser removes them. Detailed optional account visits expire after 90 days. Quiz attempt records and saved characters are retained while needed to operate the quiz, provide result history, and maintain aggregate statistics; account-linked attempts are removed with account deletion. Recovered historical records are retained with their original data limitations. Anonymous-attempt deletion requests can be made using the attempt reference available in quiz Preferences. Feedback is kept while needed for review and improvement; deleting your account deletes linked feedback. Expired account sessions, tokens, and request-limit records are cleaned up during normal operation. Limited moderation records may remain to document account actions. We keep email-delivery records (recipient, message category, send time, provider message ID, and acceptance or failure status) for up to 30 days to troubleshoot delivery. They do not contain message bodies or sign-in links and are removed during routine cleanup. Resend, hosting providers, and messages already delivered to an inbox may have separate retention periods.
Your choices and requests
Use My Profile to correct your profile, change your password, adjust privacy choices, or delete your account and saved characters. Deleting an account with a verified email also removes its associated email requests and subscription. An unverified account cannot delete email records belonging to an address it has not proved it controls; use that inbox’s private email-management link or contact us. Unsubscribing does not require account deletion.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, obtain a copy of, correct, delete, restrict, or object to use of personal information, withdraw consent, or complain to a privacy authority. Send requests to contact@myforevermain.com. We may need proportionate verification to protect your information. We do not require a government ID for ordinary account requests. Withdrawing an optional permission does not prevent you from viewing your quiz result.
Children
Account registration is for ages 13 and over. Do not submit an account, email request, or identifying feedback for a child under 13. If you believe a child’s information was submitted, contact us so we can investigate and remove it as appropriate. Accounts aged 13–17 cannot subscribe to promotions or enable personalized advertising. We do not sell children’s personal information.
Contact the operator
The footer contact form requires an email, request reason, and a short message. We save the request and notify the operator at contact@myforevermain.com so it can be reviewed and answered. This does not subscribe you to marketing. Contact requests are kept while needed to resolve the request and related follow-up; deleting your account removes linked requests.
